Jersey Academy of Music in collaboration with musicians from Chetham’s School of Music conducted by Stephen Threlfall put on a weekend of WW1 music events at Jersey Opera House.

The Great War Music Project included a live orchestral screening of ‘The Battle of the Somme’ (introduced by Laura Rossi and IWM Dr Toby Haggith), Laura Rossi’s ‘Voices of Remembrance’ for orchestra and choir and a new commission from Laura titled ‘Remember Them’ which was a setting of poems written by children from Manchester and Jersey primary schools which was performed by primary school children from Jersey with the Chetham’s Sinfonia.
