Sounding the Somme performance + Talk from Animate Orchestra and composer Laura Rossi

Animate Orchestra created their own score and film about the Battle of the Somme using our Sounding the Somme resources and their expert teachers led a 3 day course which culminated in a live performance to film.

Animate Orchestra offers young musicians in school years 5 to 13 in London Boroughs of Lambeth, Lewisham, Greenwich or Southwark, opportunities to play together and create their own music and experience the musical teamwork of playing in an orchestra, while bringing their own ideas to how orchestras of the future might look and sound.

With specialist tutors and world-class musicians as mentors and guides,  courses are fun, sociable and musically adventurous.
