Chetham’s Sinfonia got a coach down to London from Manchester after being requested yet again to perform the Somme on TV – this time for BBC The People Remember series on BBC1. Before being filmed they put on a live performance at the IWM for people visiting the museum that day.

Trumpeter extraordinaire – George Herbert (who at just 14 has perfected those top C’s and is a fantastic player!) was interviewed and spoke brilliantly! Composer Laura Rossi was also interviewed and the orchestra were filmed performing an extract live with the film.
